Southeastern Short Course Swimming Championship

Six TNT Swimmers competed at the 2005 Southeastern Short Course Swimming Championships held in Nashville, Tennessee, March 17 - 20. More than 850 swimmers representing 58 teams from Tennessee, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle tested their competitive swimming skills over the course of the four day meet.
TNT swimmers had an outstanding meet, competing in 34 individual events, achieving 30 personal best times, 11 improved time standards, 19 team records, and earning 5 medals. “I couldn’t be prouder of our swimmers,” said TNT coach Jan Mittemeyer. “Each one came through with lifetime best performances at the biggest meet of their young lives. It's a tribute to their love of the sport and to the effort that each one gives at practice.”
Thursday Timed Finals: March 17th. TNT swimmers score and make great time drops. Will Anderson dropped over 11 seconds from his 500 freestyle time, finishing with a TNT 9-10 boys team record of 6:12.37, earning an 8th place medal . Adrian Novak dropped 16 seconds in the 11 - 12 500 free, moving up 12 places with a new team record time of 6:03.20.
Friday Preliminaries: March 18th. TNT Swimmers achieve 100 % personal best times in 9 individual events. Will Anderson qualified for finals in the 10 & under 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. New Team Records: Will Anderson 100 free 1:04.71, 100 back 1:13.24. Adrian Novak 50 breast 36.82, 100 back 1:13.32. Jordan Doucet 9-10 girls 50 breast 42.06. Personal Best Times achieved by Will Anderson, 100 free,100 back. Jordan Doucet 50 breast. Cameron Grant, 100 free,100 back. Ben Hodde, 100 free,100 back, 200 IM. Adrian Novak, 50 breast,100 back. Friday Finals: Will Anderson finishes 3rd place in the 100 free with a AAA time of 1:02.84, and 5th in the 100 back with personal best time of 1:11.44 earning his second and third medals of the meet. Both times were team records.
Saturday Preliminaries: March 19th. New Team Records: Ben Hodde, 9-10 boys 100 fly 1:21.24. Will Anderson, 9-10 boys 100 IM 1:14.93. Adrian Novak, 11-12 boys 100 IM 1:10.79, 50 free 28.96. Sunday Finals: Will Anderson finishes 3rd place in the 200 freestyle 2:14.89, and 4th place in the 50 backstroke 32.91, bringing his final meet medal count to 5. Both swims were new TNT team records.
