FOR SWIMMERS: Ryan Lochte - Olympic gold medalist and current world record holder Ryan Lochte, will conduct a 4 hour clinic for swimmers in conjunction with the Swimposium. Ryan is currently the most dominant swimmer in the. He defeated Michael Phelps head to head in the 200 IM at US Nationals, winning the men's high point awared. The very next week he won 6 gold medals at the recent Pan Pacific Championships, earning the male swimmer of the meet award. He is the current world record holder in the 200 IM and has the fastest times in the world this year in the 400 IM, 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke. Swimmers attending this clinic will also recieve a "Good Bag" courtesy of All American Swim Supply and Speedo.
FOR COACHES: Bryan "PK" Karkoska, Strength and Condition Coach for Auburn University Men's Swimming Team. PK will discuss strength training for men and women, including adolescent, youth and adult development. PK is well known for his contributions to Auburn's highly successful NCAA competitive swimming program.
FOR PARENTS: Sue Anderson, USA Swimming's Director of Programs and Services, will present "Are You a Great Swimming Parent?" a seminar designed to provide parents with a road map to help guide their swimmer toward their ultimate potential. Topics include: Growth and Development; physical, puberty, psychological and emotional development; Competition and Training - Motivation and Goal Setting; and Physical Well Being - Rest and Nutrition.
FOR FAMILIES: Beach Blast at Waterville USA, located minutes away from Orange Beach. Ride the Flow Rider Surfing Machine, Roller Coaster and Go Karts. Play Miniature Golf and Video Games in the Arcade. The evening concludes with a Dance Party by the pool back at the Hilton Garden Inn.
