THE BIG WEEKEND
TNT is hosting the 2006 Southeastern Swimming Fall Meeting and Hall of Fame Weekend, Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8 at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, AL. A special weekend has been planned for all attendees. For swimmers, parents, and coaches, Saturday morning seminars will be presented by nationally recognized sports psychologist, Dr. Alan Goldberg, and Olympic gold medalist, Mark Gangloff.
As an expert in the field of applied sport psychology, Dr. Goldberg works with athletes and teams across all sports at every level, from professional and Olympic caliber, right down to junior competitors. He is known for his ability to take the subjects of sports psychology & peak performance and present them in a humorous, practical and easy-to-understand manner.
TNT has gone over the top to make this event note worthy, and nothing short of a total team effort will be required in order to make this undertaking a success. All team families are strongly encouraged to support TNT’s investment in this project by registering all swimmers ages 7 & older, and at least one parent for the Dr. Alan Goldberg / Mark Gangloff seminars. You can learn more about Dr. Alan Goldberg by visiting his web site at http://www.competitivedge.com/
Following the morning seminars, families of TNT are encouraged to spend the day at the beach, and later attend the SES Hall of Fame Banquet. This will be a special time as Southeastern Swimming honors its 2006 Hall of Fame Inductees and concludes with a dance party for the swimmers. Weather permitting, both the banquet and dance will be held outdoors on the beach side pavilion.
Cost for the Goldberg / Gangloff seminars is $30.00 per person and $50.00 per person for the seminars and banquet / dance combined.
Due to the number of large cities in north Alabama and Tennessee, this is the first time that the SES HOF weekend has ever been held south of Birmingham, so please plan to attend this unique and special TNT hosted function.

FAMILY FUN
All swimmers and their families are invited to attend TNT’s first foray into the sport of bowling, scheduled for Saturday, September 23 from 6-8 at the Rock It Bowl in Bay Minette. Cost is $8.00 per person for 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental and a drink. TNT will provide cookies and snacks, and The Grill will be open to purchase hamburgers, hotdogs and other food items. There will be awards for the highest score in 6 different age groups: 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15 and up. So come on and lace up those funny looking shoes, strap on your wrist supports, and get ready for some serious pin knockin, fist pumpin bowling action!
FUNDRAISING
The Magazine Subscription Fundraiser has been launched for this year and will be available all year. Everyone should have received an e-mail with instructions. Even if you do not wish to send e-mails to your family and friends, please renew your own subscriptions through this program. With only 5 families participating in less than a week we have already sold 10 subscriptions and made a profit of $78. And remember, any profit made by your sales is credited to your family fundraising requirement. Once you have met your requirement, one half of any additional funds raised by your family will be credited to your swim fees account.
We will be launching our Christmas Wreath Fundraiser at the end of next week. Wreaths will be the same price as last year and the average profit per item was about $8-$9. The orders will need to be in by November 10 and the wreaths will be delivered the week of December 4-9. Brochures, order forms and a letter with details about the fundraiser will be put in your family file folders soon. Please direct questions to Debbie Anderson at Wande1964@aol.com
COOL TEAM T’S
T-Shirts have been ordered and will be distributed the week of our 1st meet on September 28. A few extra Tie Dye T-Shirts were ordered, so if you didn't get your order in, please e-mail Debbie Anderson at Wande1964@aol.com to reserve one of the extras.
