TNT swimmers, Will Anderson and Kyle Simpson, competed at the 2012 NCSA Junior National Swimming Championships, March 20 - 24 in Orlando, FL. More than 1,400 swimmers representing more than 200 teams from across the country attended this year's meet.
Will Anderson, had a particularly good meet,
qualifying for finals competition in 2 events,
setting 7 new team records and making his
100 back "A" cut for the 2012 USA Swimming's
Summer Junior National meet.
Will had 7 personal best times, including the 100
butterfly (prelims and finals); 100 backstroke
(prelims and finals); 200 backstroke (prelims and
time trials); 200 butterfly; 50 backstroke and 50
butterfly. Will also set new team records in the
following events: 200 backstroke (time trial)
1:49.79; 200 butterfly 1:52.47; 100 butterfly 50.30;
100 backstroke (prelims SC) 50.96; 100 backstroke
(LC finals) 59.39; 50 backstroke 24.44; 50 butterfly
(50 split from 100 fly) 23.33.
Kyle Simpson, still recoving from an extended respritory illness, also competed well. Kyle swam very close to his personal best times in all 8 of his events, including lifetime bests in the 50 backstroke and 50 butterfly. Kyle's broke two TNT team records in the 50 fly 23.52 and 200 free 1:46.17.
